DUZ Recordings presents :Got Bent! Radio Show – Volume 1
This is an exclusive mix for an upcoming event June 14 2014 “Lift Off” in Syracuse NY. BootsBoogie from Toronto ON will be coming down to drop an extended set. Boots is one of Syracuse’s favorite artists coming up from the Canadian underground music scene. In the future Boots plans to have original productions and remix releases out on DUZ Recordings. Djing for well over a decade Boots’ mixes and track selection are always tight and on point. Playing a groovy jackin soulful big bass style he will keep your feet moving start to finish. He always plays high energy music and is a blast to watch. Huge thanks to Boots for putting together this special set, we will have hard copies available at the show June 14, 2014 hope to see you out! Thanks for your support!

Continuing to experiment with the new SoundCloud. I created a set with a few of my tracks in it alongside some friends’ and acquantainces’ tracks (and a couple mixes). Suddenly my play counts have skyrocketed (by the count on the player) although the stats page doesn’t reflect it yet. Perhaps SoundCloud is recommending the set, or tracks within it, as being related to other tracks they may be listening to. In any case this probably gets more plays for everybody who’s included.
So far it includes tracks from Steve Cowan (i.e. me – “nebula”), Arthur Oskan, E.R.A., Hawkeye and Cosmosuave, plus sets from Mike Gibbs and Sarah Shaw-Cowan. A good cross-section of Friends and Idols.
[update 2012-12-20: added two tracks by Flim]
Here’s the set. I will likely continue to add to it.
Either the world is ending or we have a holiday to celebrate. If the world ends, at least you’re in good company. If it doesn’t, it’s still an excellent excuse to dance like there’s no tomorrow. And what is more suiting for the end of the world than disco? (scary techno, but who wants that?)

breakandenter has supported over 106 Producers, DJs & VJs in 5 years.
106 is more than just the number of a classic Roland Juno synth. It is, in fact, an incredible legacy that few event organizers could possibly boast after even 20 years. The unparalleled passion and effort that the breakandenter crew have given the Toronto techno scene in the past 5 years will be celebrated this Saturday, December 8, at b&e’s unique staple venue: SPK at 206 Beverley Street, otherwise known as The Polish Combatants Hall.
